Seth Mahler – Playing Experience: Current Mens League:  Newport Beach Lacrosse Club, College: Midfield 4 years DIII Whittier College, High School: Close D, LSM & Midfield at The Gunnery, Washington CT. Seth began playing lacrosse in the 7^th grade. His coaching experience includes: Current: Head Varsity Coach, Beckman HS, Previously: Head JV, Tesoro HS, SoCal Lacrosse 5th/6th grade team  (last winter championship team), 101 Starz Summer Team, Adrenaline Camps, Players Choice Full Field Camp. Seth has a twin brother.

Daniel Sampson – Is a former Pioneer Laxer, Beckman 4 year varsity player, All League & All County Lacrosse team, Team MVP, and local lacrosse enthusiast. Daniel has played for OC Starz Elite Team & West Coast Starz Travel Team. This will be Daniel’s third year coaching for Pioneer Lax Club. Daniel’s future plans are to enlist in the U.S. Navy!

Will Rogers - I have been playing since the 5th grade. I am currently a senior in high school, so a total of 7 years playing lacrosse. I have been assistant coach for I believe 2 years my freshman and sophomore year. I have played on many club and travel teams. Most of them have been the elite team. I have played on QuikSilver High School Elite team where we played at Somona in a College recruiting tournament as well as played in less well known local tourniments. I have been to the west top 205 lacrosse recruiting event at University of Boulder. I have been contacted by colleges wanting me to attend their school and play lacrosse for their team. Freshman year I was chosen defensive player of the year for JV. I have been playing varsity lacrosse at beckman for 3 years now. And my junior year I was elected pacific coast league second team all-league defender. I have been scholar athlete every year I have played. I plan on playing lacrosse in college where ever I may go.

Luke Baker - I started playing lacrosse at Pioneer Middle School in 7th grade, which is why I love coming back and coaching for the program.  I have played Varsity all four years at Beckman, and my Junior year I was elected team captain and made First Team All Pacific Coast League.  This season I intend to do the same.  In addition to those school teams, I have played on many club teams year round, most recently the High School Quicksilver Elite team.  This will be my fourth year coaching for Pioneer, and I'm really looking forward to giving back to the program that made me fall in love with lacrosse.

Nick Liekhus - I have played lacrosse for the Tustin Tigers, Pioneer, a multitude of club teams, and Beckman; this will be my fourth year playing on varsity.  This last year I led the Pacific Coast League in goals scored and received the honor of first team all league -- playing as the captain of our team.  Over the summer, I played at the Sonoma Shootout and attended 205 West in Colorado.  I have also coached Pioneer in the past.

Griffin Foster - I am currently a senior at Santa Margarita Catholic HS and a 4 year varsity player.  I have been playing lacrosse since 3rd grade.  Some of the teams that I have played on include Tustin Tigers, Crush Travel Team, Pioneer Lacrosse, Beckman Lacrosse Varsity (freshman year), OC Starz Elite, OCLC Elite, So Cal Elite, West Coast Starz Elite, and Rudy’s Elite.  I have participated in close to 100 tournaments and invite only recruiting events across the country.  Some honors include being an 8 time Adrenaline All Star, Rookie of the year freshman year, Second Team All League, and listed on the West Side Lax Top 25 players to watch in Orange County each varsity year.  I have coached in Earthquake and volunteer coached with Tustin Tigers and Pioneer Lacrosse.Lacrosse has given me so many great experiences and friendships that I look forward to encouraging the younger players to be able to do what I have done!

Kylie Wong - I'm a senior at Beckman and I am captain of the varsity lacrosse team. We have won the PCL league title for the past 4 years. I've been playing for 5 years and been coaching/assisting with lacrosse for 3 years. I play on highly competitve club teams all over Orange County and I'm excited for this upcoming season!

Hanna Leonard - Lacrosse has been an important part of my life over the past six years. I began playing the summer before my sixth grade year on the Pioneer Club lacrosse team. I played all three years through middle school and also began playing on a local club lacrosse team called Team OC and have remained on that club team the last six years.

            Once I reached high school, I made the varsity girls lacrosse team at Beckman as a freshman on attack/offense. By my sophomore year, I was selected to be one of the varsity team captains. Over the past two years at Beckman, our team has won two league titles and made it to the semifinals of the CIF Southern Section both years.

            This past summer, I joined a traveling club lacrosse team called XTEAM. I traveled to the east coast and got to play against some of the best teams in the country, crossing through several states, and visiting several colleges.

            Going into junior year, I am looking forward to another fun filled lacrosse year. This will be my third year helping out in the Pioneer program and my second year coaching. I think it is truly wonderful that lacrosse is spreading to the west coast and so many are starting at a younger age. I love the game for all it has given to me especially working with younger players and inspiring them with a love for the sport. I look forward to a great year and I know we are going to have tons of fun learning, practicing, laughing, and playing lacrosse!

Savannah Krause - Savannah began playing lacrosse in 6th grade at Pioneer Middle School. She has been playing for the last five years since then and has loved every minute of it! Last year Savannah made the varsity lacrosse team at Beckman High School as a freshman where they went undefeated in league and made it to the CIF semi- finals. She has also played for Team OC, a club lacrosse team. Savannah is very excited to be coaching for Pioneer and can't wait for practice to start! She looks forward to meeting all the new and upcoming players!

Tom Metcalf - Hi, my name is Tom Metcalf.  My daughter, Katrina (Pinky) played for the Pioneer Lax U-13Team this last year.  I have been coaching Katrina in Basketball for 5 years through All-Stars and now All-Net.  Last year we added La Crosse to her schedule and I found that I love it as much as she does.  I have been passively helping Allie and Hanna at practice, since the beginning of  last season, so I am excited for the opportunity to have a positive effect on the team's success this year.  I am looking forward to a great year!

Steve Wayt - A father of two boys and active with them in Football, Steve really enjoys the fast pace of lacrosse and is looking forward to assisting on our 3/4 team this year. We are looking forward to his positive attitude and enthusiasm to encourage our youngsters as they learn America's oldest sport!
